2018….the adventures await!

So, a new year has come and what does that mean to us? Well, for many of us the start of a new year means making new resolutions and all about starting new ways of doing things. For the Penistone Line Partnership 2018 is all about CELEBRATION! We celebrate our 25th anniversary this year, so will be carrying on as usual with all the great things we do (if it ain’t broke why fix it eh?) but of course we will be celebrating all the things we have achieved in the last 25 years! So, why not join us on the Penistone Line, for new adventures if you have never been on the Penistone Line or perhaps to re-new adventures of old! Share your adventures with us on twitter @penistone line #PLP25years

Help shape the future of West Yorkshire transport

Help shape the future of West Yorkshire’s transport

West Yorkshire Combined Authority is looking for members of the public to be part of our Kirklees District Transport Consultation Sub-Committee.

Held quarterly, District Consultation Sub-Committee meetings bring together members of the public, local transport companies and district councillors to discuss local transport issues. Meetings take place on a weekday four times a year. Membership is voluntary, but reasonable expenses involved in travelling to the meetings is paid.

The meetings provide updates on local transport services and developments and enable members to highlight public transport concerns with transport operators. They are also an opportunity for the Combined Authority and its partners to consult on local transport policies and proposals.

No specialist transport knowledge is needed, but applicants must live in the Kirklees district. The Combined Authority would like to recruit people who have experience of public transport, cycling and walking in West Yorkshire. Members representing wider interest groups such as walking, cycling, people with disabilities, young people, BME communities, public transport users and other community forums are also being encouraged to apply.

For further details and an application pack, visit the website: or call 0113 251 7216.

Application forms should be returned no later than Friday 3 November 2017.
