Community Engagement

We are moving forward with our research to make the Penistone Line hidden disability-friendly. This is no mean feat and will be an ongoing process between various councils, steering groups, organisations and rail users with hidden disabilities.

We have met with Age UK Calderdale & Kirklees and set up Dementia Friendly training for members of the Penistone Line Partnership, then specific dementia awareness training for customer-facing rail staff on the Penistone Line.

Do you know anyone who may find rail travel on the Penistone Line difficult? We need your thoughts and ideas too.
