RMT Industrial action affecting travel
Strikes have been announced for 21, 23 and 25 of June. We apologise that there will be no trains running on these dates on the Penistone Line.
Customers are being advised not to travel between 21 and 26 June as trains services on dates in between strikes will be significantly impacted with a very limited number of trains running, with first trains starting later in the morning and last trains running earlier in the afternoon.
There will be no replacement bus services.
The whole of the rail network is affected by strikes, which means the industry has had to prioritise freight trains running on the mainline to keep supermarkets stocked with food and other essentials. There simply aren’t enough railway workers to keep trains running on our network.
