DESCRIPTION:  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \nStart the New Year with this pleasant walk via Rainstorth\, Grange Woodlands\, and Hill Top\, finishing via the river and canal.  \nStart: 9.15 am at CHAPELTOWN station.  \nFinish: MEADOWHALL \nDistance:   8 – 9 miles.     Leader: David Cook (07717-497684).  \nDepart: Huddersfield 0810\, Lockwood 0813\, Berry Brow 0816\, Honley 0820\, Brockholes 0823\, Stocksmoor 0827\, Shepley 0829\, Denby Dale 0834\, Penistone 0842\, Silkstone Common 0847\, Dodworth 0851\, \nBarnsley 0858\, Wombwell 0905\, Elsecar 0909 to arrive CHAPELTOWN at 0915. \nDepart: Lincoln 0643\, Saxilby 0652\, Gainsborough Lea Road 0703\, Retford 0717\, Worksop 0728\, Shireoaks 0734\, Kiveton Park 0739\, Kiveton Bridge 0742\, Woodhouse 0750\, Darnall 0755 to arrive Sheffield 0804 then change: \nDepart Sheffield 0835\, Meadowhall 0841 to arrive at CHAPELTOWN at 0847. \n   \nBUS REPLACEMENT SERVICE – Huddersfield to/from Lockwood: \nThe TransPennine Route Upgrade (TRU) is continuing through 2024\, so there will be planned disruption to services. This will mainly affect the services between Manchester\, Huddersfield\, Leeds and York. \nHowever\, there are periods when Huddersfield station will be completely closed to all services. During these periods\, a rail replacement bus service will shuttle from Huddersfield to connect with the Penistone Line train at Lockwood. \nThe first period for bus replacement will be Saturday 17 February – Saturday 9 March inclusive. Bus timings for Huddersfield to Lockwood are shown in Northern Timetable No. 43 \nFor further information visit Northern \n
