Meet new people and enjoy the beautiful Barnsley countryside. \nStart: 10.05am at BARNSLEY station (meet outside the ticket office on Platform 1) \nFinish: BARNSLEY.  \nDistance:  8 miles.       Leader:  John Harker (07929-051978). \n  \nDepart: Huddersfield 0912\, Lockwood 0915\, Berry Brow 0918\, Honley 0921\, Brockholes 0924\, Stocksmoor 0928\, Shepley 0930\, Denby Dale 0935\, Penistone 0942\, Silkstone Common 0948\, Dodworth 0952\, \nto arrive BARNSLEY at 0959. \nDepart: Lincoln 0724\, Saxilby 0733\, Gainsborough Lea Road 0744\, Retford 0758\, Worksop 0808\, Shireoaks 0813\, Kiveton Park 0819\, Kiveton Bridge 0822\, Woodhouse 0829\, Darnall 0834 to arrive Sheffield 0842 then change: \nDepart: Sheffield 0935\, Meadowhall 0940\, Chapeltown 0947\, Elsecar 0953\, Wombwell 0956 to arrive BARNSLEY at 1002. \nBUS REPLACEMENT SERVICE – Huddersfield to/from Lockwood: \nThe TransPennine Route Upgrade (TRU) is continuing through 2024 which means that there will be planned disruption to services. This will mainly affect the services between Manchester\, Huddersfield\, Leeds and York. \nHowever\, there are periods when Huddersfield station will be completely closed to all services. \nDuring these periods\, a rail replacement bus service will shuttle from Huddersfield to connect with the Penistone Line train at Lockwood. \nThe first period for bus replacement will be Saturday 17 February – Saturday 9 March inclusive. \nBus timings for Huddersfield to Lockwood are shown in Northern Timetable No. 43 and will be shown in our walk reminder emails.
