DESCRIPTION:Following the announcement that industrial action has been suspended on Saturday 17th September\, our PLP walk will be held . \n  \nStart: 10.15am at SHIREOAKS  station.    \nFinish: KIVETON PARK (or KIVETON BRIDGE) \n\nWe start out on a scenic section alongside the canal to Turnerwood\, then on public footpaths via Netherthorpe airfield\, Harthill and Kiveton Community Woodland viewpoint. We finish along a section of the ‘Cuckoo Way’ canal towpath to Kiveton Park station for return trains – with a possible pub visit ! \n(Or finish at Kiveton Bridge station for return trains and buses). \n\nThe route uses canal towpaths\, public footpaths across fields and some short sections along minor rural roads. DESCRIPTION:Penistone Line Partnership in association with Blackburn & Wincobank Club – present – A Jam Session & Open Mic Night. Come along on Monday 8 August 2022. There will be a free buffet available. Bring your own instruments or singing voice\, although instruments such as drum kit\, guitar and keyboard can be borrowed at the venue. \nGet there via our beautiful Penistone Line\, have a get together with friends and enjoy the session. Catch the 1751 train from Platform 2 Huddersfield station\, or join us anywhere along the line. We arrive in Meadowhall at 1907 where we will all meet up at 1915 in the car park at the end of Platform 2 Meadowhall. Then walk either along Blackburn Valley Trail or via Fife Street (0.7 mile) to the venue. Returning on the train to Huddersfield at 2244. \nFrom Sheffield station catch the Adwick train at 1905 to Meadowhall with arrives 1913\, then meet as above.
