DESCRIPTION:A linear walk from Brockholes station to Denby Dale along the Holme Valley and Dearne Way. \nStart: 9.40 am at BROCKHOLES station.  Finish: DENBY DALE. \nDistance: 8 – 9 miles.  Leader: Geoff Ryder (07837-915847) \n  \nSpring is a lovely time for a walk using the train and the public rights of way network. \nOrganised by Penistone Line Partnership walks leader volunteers\, these walks are to encourage the use of train services to visit some of South and West Yorkshire’s finest countryside. \nWalks may also take place in North Nottinghamshire\, Derbyshire\, and Lincolnshire. \nWalks are free but train fares apply. Bring along a flask and sandwiches. Wearing suitable clothing and footwear is recommended. Walks are at an easy pace and are carefully planned but you are responsible for your safety. \n
