2023/24 sees Penistone Line Partnership working with local transport providers to improve links and ensure there is an accessible service for all, to access sustainable transport. We will be working closely with local bus and community transport providers along the Penistone Line, and improve links to and from rail.
We want to support Mayor Oliver Coppard in his campaign for a Fair Bus Deal for South Yorkshire.
The area received no funding from the Bus Service Improvement Plan. (BSIP)
Oliver Coppard is requesting an urgent meeting with the Transport Secretary and a £205 million rescue package.
There is an urgent problem facing all communities across South Yorkshire. If you are a business, student, or just rely on your local bus service, support this campaign!
Please attend the public meeting on Monday 21 August 6.00 pm – 8.00 pm at St John’s Community Centre, Penistone.
Furthermore, SYMCA has been involved in making difficult decisions to save 21 services and forced into fare increases and longer wait times between services. See https://www.bbc.co.uk/…/uk-england-south-yorkshire…
However public support is needed, to ensure the people of South Yorkshire get a Fair Bus Deal!
This campaign needs to be led at a local level so please support Oliver Coppard and make your voices heard!
