Strike Action Update – Do Not Travel – 5 & 7 November

We are aware that RMT has withdrawn its strike action for November 5, 7 and 9. We can confirm that the much-reduced service strike timetable will still run on Saturday 5 November and likely Monday 7 November due to the complexities involved in reverting back to a full-timetable Northern advise customers not to travel on these days.
Northern are working up a plan to run a fuller service on Wednesday 9 but this is not confirmed – please continue to check this page for the most up-to-date information.’
Services are also expected to be affected on Sunday 6, Tuesday 8 and Thursday 10 November, especially in the morning, so please check before you travel on these days.
On strike days, only travel by rail if necessary and if you do travel, expect severe disruption and plan ahead – especially the first and last trains of the day.
There will be very limited services running across the whole rail network so remember to check your entire journey as other train service providers may be affected.
