Honley is a village in the Holme Valley civil parish in Kirklees, West Yorkshire, England. The village centre is on the western side of the Holme valley while the High School and Honley Station are located to the eastern side of the River Holme. Honley is famous for its annual agricultural show which celebrated its centenary in September 2021. The Honley Players put on shows at Southgate Theatre in the village, and Honley Village Community Trust saved and maintain Magdale Fields & Dam.

Honley Station

Train journeys to Honley take 10 minutes from Huddersfield and 1 hour 6 minutes from Sheffield. All trains are operated by Northern Trains Ltd. Find up to date ticket and timetable information here.

Bus Services

Honley station is served hourly by the 911 bus route which runs between Meltham Morrisons and Brockholes. 911 bus information can be found here.

All other bus routes are a 9 minute walk away to New Mill Road. Information on buses to Holme (314) and Parkhead (316) can be found here.

Friends of Honley Station

Honley Station is now adopted.
Community projects in partnership with Honley High School leadership team and pupils, alongside residents, will enhance the station area.
Democracy-friendly curriculum work, heritage, environment, and sustainability projects will be shaped over the coming year with the support of Northern and Penistone Line Partnership.
Level access is needed, and the adopters can work with PLP, Huddersfield Penistone Sheffield  Rail Users’ Group, Holme Valley Parish Council, and Kirklees Council to ensure the station is upgraded to meet the needs of the local community.
