PLP is pleased to announce the winners and runners-up of our Viaduct Photography Competition.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who took the time to get out and about to find the perfect spot for an image capturing the remarkable engineering achievements of our Victorian predecessors. We are fortunate to have so many wonderful viaducts along our scenic line, and it was inspiring to see some entrants manage to photograph every major structure.

In total, we received over 60 entries. From these, half were shortlisted for a public vote conducted through our rail industry and community stakeholders via a Formbricks online survey. Although we did not receive entries featuring any of the lesser-known viaducts, the photographs of our four main landmarks were truly outstanding.

Our partners at Scenic Rail Britain have kindly showcased the entries on the Penistone Line information page. In addition, Northern will be arranging complimentary rail tickets for the winners on Northern routes and will produce Double Royal–sized posters, which PLP will distribute to the winning entrants and install in platform noticeboards along the Penistone Line.

We look forward to using your wonderful images to help promote the Penistone Line across our website, social media, and marketing materials. Wherever possible, we will include full image credits in recognition of your work.
