Huddersfield – Sheffield (local stopping service)
There will be major disruptions due to the ongoing Trans Pennine Upgrade Works at Huddersfield and the closure of Huddersfield station. Below are brief details of the works we have been notified about.
Saturday 9 August and Sunday 10 August, trains will start and terminate at Lockwood with a Bus replacement service between Lockwood and Huddersfield stations.
Saturday 16 August and Sunday 17 August, trains will start and terminate at Lockwood with a Bus replacement service between Lockwood and Huddersfield stations.
From Saturday 30 August until Sunday 7 September, and Saturday 27 to Sunday 28 September.
Services from Sheffield will start/terminate at Penistone.
Rail replacement services will run between Penistone and Huddersfield (all stops) and Barnsley and Huddersfield (direct).
From Monday 8 September until Friday 26 September
Huddersfield – Sheffield service will start/terminate at Berry Brow. Rail replacement services will run between Berry Brow and Huddersfield (all stops).
However, Northern advises that between Saturday, 6 September and Friday, 12 September, replacement buses will be from Lockwood to Penistone, and Lockwood- Huddersfield.
