An interesting route crossing through the Moss Valley area south of Sheffield, linking for a tram ride back to the city.

Start: 9.15am DRONFIELD station. Finish: WHITE LANE tramstop.

Distance: 8 – 9 miles. Leader: Alan Hawley

Depart: Huddersfield 0712, Shepley 0730, Penistone 0743, Barnsley 0800 then change for the direct service at Barnsley 0839 Meadowhall 0844, Sheffield 0906 to arrive DRONFIELD at 0915.

Depart: Lincoln 0724, Retford 0758, Worksop 0808 to arrive Sheffield at 0842 then change to the 0906 to DRONFIELD.

RAIL REPLACEMENT BUS SERVICE: Huddersfield to & from Lockwood

The TransPennine Route Upgrade (TRU) will continue during 2025. There could be periods when Huddersfield station will be completely closed to all services. During these periods, a rail replacement bus service will depart from Huddersfield to connect with the Penistone Line train at Lockwood station.
