A walk taking in the river Dove, no not that one, t’other one ! A surprisingly green walk and one that takes in various nature reserves.
(option of bus back to Barnsley).

Depart: Lincoln 0645, Saxilby 0654, Gainsborough Lea Road 0706, Retford 0719, Worksop 0730 and all stations to arrive at Sheffield 0804, then change to:
Depart: Sheffield 0835, Meadowhall 0840, Chapeltown 0847, Elsecar 0853 to arrive Wombwell at 0856.
RAIL REPLACEMENT BUS SERVICE: Huddersfield to & from Lockwood
The TransPennine Route Upgrade (TRU) will continue during 2025. There could be periods when Huddersfield station will be completely closed to all services. During these periods, a rail replacement bus service will depart from Huddersfield to connect with the Penistone Line train at Lockwood station.
