Cameras at the ready to capture the great views as we wend our way along historic paths and quiet lanes out of the Holme Valley to cross the eastern plateau and so down to Shepley. Two steep climbs, one is fairly prolonged, we’ll take it steadily.

The TransPennine Route Upgrade (TRU) will continue throughout 2024. There are periods when Huddersfield station will be completely closed to all services. During these periods, a rail replacement bus service will depart from Huddersfield to connect with the Penistone Line train at Lockwood station.
