Huddersfield Penistone Sheffield Rail Users’ Association (HPSRUA) is a voluntary rail user group who helped to save the Penistone Line when it was under threat of closure. They work behind the scenes with Northern and the railway press as a voice for rail users. They monitor rail service quality and consult with Northern to influence decisions about service changes and improvements.

HPSRUA along with Penistone Line Partnership are currently campaigning for station upgrades, level access and a half-hourly service on the Penistone Line.
