Education Network

Our Community Rail Officer is part of the Education Network.

Together the group share best practices in education between community rail partnerships and station groups. They provide tools for education and support, by delivering innovative methods of rail-based education across the school curriculum.

Schools Education

Rail safety education is taught to school pupils and uniformed groups at all curriculum key stages within our communities along the Penistone Line. Secondary education using STEM and STEAM learning activities encourage pupils to consider career options in rail. Talks can be arranged through our partners at Northern and Network Rail.

Download our rail safety leaflet.

Rail confidence is also taught with the addition of school train trips. Covid safety guidelines will apply. If you wish to discuss a bespoke workshop, for rail safety or rail confidence please contact Sarah Wells info@penline.co.uk.

Parents, teachers, and group leaders, download our Rail Safety sessions leaflet. Share it with schools and uniformed groups, near the Penistone Line, who could benefit from our Rail Safety & Confidence talks. Help us to keep children safe.
