Shepley is a rural village that stands on the edge of the Peak District National Park and the South Pennine Hills. It is the home of local arts and crafts, small and medium-sized businesses, and is also the centre of a thriving local community. Cliffe House offers educational days and events during school holidays for children as well as being a catered conference venue. Walk from Shepley station to Stocksmoor, part of the Penistone Line Collection to help visitors discover the beautiful countryside and attractions accessible by train between Huddersfield and Sheffield. Shepley Station
Train journeys to Shepley take 19 minutes from Huddersfield and 56 minutes from Sheffield. All trains are operated by Northern Trains Ltd. Find up to date ticket and timetable information here.
Bus Services
Shepley is served regularly by Denby Darts’ bus services. The nearest bus route is a 4 minute walk along Station Lane (not Station Road) from the station, beginning at a public footbath located opposite the entrance to Platform 1.
