Please read the programme notes:
- ROAD SAFETY NOTICE: Our walking routes mostly follow public rights of way and low-traffic lanes, and we try to keep off main roads. However, using roads is often unavoidable for short stretches to connect with paths. Therefore, please be alert to road traffic, listen to instructions from the leader, use footways where provided, walk in single file and cross promptly when clear to do so. Use of ‘hi-vis’ gear can be effective whilst walking on roads.
- RAIL REPLACEMENT BUS SERVICE : Huddersfield to/from Lockwood – the Trans-Pennine Route Upgrade (TRU) is continuing throughout 2026, and this means that there may be disruption to services. There could be periods when Huddersfield station will be completely closed to all services. During these periods, a rail replacement bus service will depart from Huddersfield to connect with the Penistone Line train at Lockwood or other stations. www.thetrupgrade.co.uk/upcomingclosures/
- Some services may be cancelled at short notice on the day due to line or train unit faults. Before setting out, please check your service is running using the NATIONAL RAIL ENQUIRIES or NORTHERN app.
