Penistone Line Timetable change effective from 14 December.
Please note that there is a bus replacement service in place for the 22.30 service from Sheffield to Huddersfield on Mondays to Thursdays. Travel from Sheffield to Barnsley by train, then catch the bus replacement service which will stop at all Penistone Line Stations arriving Huddersfield Station at 1.07am.
Huddersfield Penistone Sheffield Rail Users’ Association wrote to MP Marie Tidball on 8 December 2025 to raise the issue and ask that the matter be raised with relevant ministers and rail bodies.
